If trying to keep up with your resolutions have you feeling stressed – take a deep breath. Focus on what you can control – healthy routines!  Here are 5 tips to help: 

1. Aim for Balance
This can mean foods that meet your body’s needs as well as foods that you enjoy. Filling your plate at least 2 meals a day with 1/2 vegetables, 1/4 lean protein, and 1/4 carbohydrates will leave you feeling fueled and satisfied! 

2. Find One New Healthy Recipe You are Excited to Try 
New recipes are posted every Friday on Instagram, Facebook, and the TriForce website for inspiration. Fueling your body and workouts well doesn’t have to be boring, flavorless, or complicated! 

3. Eat and Drink Mindfully
Fix a plate rather than eating from the bag or “grazing”. Eating meals at the table without screens can also help pay attention to the flavors, textures, and temperatures in your meal which can lead to recognizing when you are satisfied more easily. 

4. Don’t Punish Yourself For Over-Doing It
Chew slowly and enjoy the meals and treats you choose. If you have more than intended or chose differently than you wanted, accept it and move on. Get back to your healthy habits like normal at the next meal or opportunity. Just like one healthy meal doesn’t result in positive change, one indulgent meal doesn’t ruin your progress either! 

5. Think About Your WHY and How You Want to Feel 
You can make choices that help you feel your best without getting overwhelmed. Set a goal and remember why you want to achieve it. It helps to have support and the whole TriForce team is here to help make those positive changes!
