What Should I Wear To Workout

There is no question that you perform better in workout clothes that fit well and make you feel comfortable and confident. However, many people don’t realize just how important it is to wear the right kind of clothing for exercise. When most people hear “workout clothes,” many different pictures come to mind depending on their experiences or who they follow on social media. Proper workout clothes are about comfort and confidence to maximize your performance!

Here are a few things we suggest to keep in mind when choosing workout clothes.

For starters, make sure you are wearing comfortable clothes. This doesn’t mean sweatpants and a baggy T-shirt – although those can be comfortable, too! You want clothes that fit well and won’t ride up or down as you move. Remember these workouts have some of everything – running, getting up and down off the floor, and even going upside down- so consider shorts and pants made from moisture-wicking fabric, athletic bras, and compression shorts that can be worn under your favorite pair of gym shorts. 

Second, think about function over fashion. Your clothes must allow you to move freely and breathe easily. Finally, consider what you will feel confident in. You’ll be more likely to stick with your routine if you feel good in your clothes.
